Bolt Action 8th Army Support Group Miniatures

Included in this set are the following: British 8th Army Headquarters, British 8th Army Medium Machine Gun Team, and British 8th Army Medium Mortar Team. The officers in the British 8th Army were typically from the upper-middle classes, educated in prestigious public schools, and imbued with the values of empire. They possessed confidence, duty, and resolve that are rare in modern times. The British 8th Army HQ consists of the officer himself and up to two attendants.

The British 8th Army Medium Machine Gun, utilizing the .303 Vickers water-cooled machine gun from World War I, provided vital fire support for infantry units. This weapon, dating back to the Great War, continued to serve through World War II and remained effective in laying down continuous fire over long distances.

The British 8th Army Medium Mortar Team operated the 3-inch mortar, capable of offering support up to 3,000 yards depending on the projectile used. Typically operated by a crew of three or more, in our games, we use three crew members. This mortar was often transported in a Universal 'Bren' Carrier.

This set is in scale 1:56/28mm and requires assembly and painting. Glue and paints are not included in the kit. Included in the set are: 1 x British 8th Army HQ, 1 x British 8th Army Machine Gun Team, and 1 x British 8th Army Medium Mortar Team.
