Infantry weapons teams are a crucial element in any Bolt Action army, offering great tactical flexibility for your force. Among the most common are sniper teams, anti-tank teams, and flamethrower teams, which provide multiple challenges for your opponent. The Panzerschreck, a German version of the American bazooka, was first encountered in North Africa. It fired a large calibre shaped-charge rocket projectile, with such intense back-blast that early teams wore protective capes and masks. Later, a blast shield was added to give the weapon a distinctive look. By 1944, the Panzerschreck and disposable Panzerfaust had replaced the Panzerbüchse 39 anti-tank rifle. In the Battle of Stalingrad, Russian snipers inflicted heavy casualties on the Wehrmacht, leading the Germans to train their own marksmen as snipers. Various rifles were used for sniping, all equipped with high-quality telescopic sights and precision ammunition. Flamethrowers, known as Flammenwerfer, were commonly used throughout the war, especially against buildings and fortifications. Towards the end of the war, the Germans developed a lighter, one-shot flamethrower called the Eintossflammenwerfer.
