Highly Detailed M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight Tank - 1:56 / 28mm Plastic Scale Model for Table-top Wargaming

Originally designated as the M4A3(76)W HVSS, the medium tank was later shortened to M4A3E8, with the E8 denoting the HVSS suspension. It earned the nickname 'Easy Eight' from US soldiers who fought alongside it. The Easy Eight featured various enhancements over earlier M4 Sherman models, including the Horizontal Volute Suspension System (HVSS) and wider tracks for improved ground performance. The tank also had a welded hull for better protection and a 76mm M1A2 main gun that rivaled the German 75mm guns. The first Easy Eights rolled out in December 1944, just in time for the Battle of the Bulge. While its main gun was effective against Axis medium tanks, it still required targeting the rear armor of heavier German vehicles.

Over 2,500 Easy Eights were manufactured during World War II, with the design proving successful enough to continue serving in the Korean War and even the Vietnam conflict. The package includes a plastic 'Easy Eight' medium tank, Bolt Action stat card, Bolt Action Order Dice, assembly guide, full-color waterslide decal sheet for US and Canadian vehicles, and vehicle damage markers. This versatile vehicle can also be used in Achtung Panzer!, a game focused on close-quarters tank-on-tank combat, with rules available in the Achtung Panzer! rulebook.
