British Expeditionary Force - Wargames Atlantic: World Ablaze

As Europe was overrun by Hitler's war machine, British soldiers were sent in large numbers to help defend France and also tried unsuccessfully to relieve Norway. The German Blitzkrieg tactics proved too much for the mix of seasoned veterans and inexperienced troops who had received rushed training before deployment in Europe. Outflanked and outmatched, they ultimately retreated to the coast. Many were rescued during the courageous evacuation at Dunkirk, but others were captured and became German prisoners of war.

This versatile hard plastic box set allows you to assemble both British Expeditionary Force and Home Guard troops, and is also useful for creating British civil war scenarios. Armed with SMLE and P-14/17 Enfield rifles, Bren and Lewis light machine guns, as well as Thompsons and BARs, these miniatures are equipped to represent a range of troops. Various hat and helmet options enable you to depict a diverse array of characters.

Developed through our Vox Populi voting system, where customers have a say in what we produce in hard plastic, this set contains 5 frames that can be used to build up to 30 figures. Assembly and painting are required for the models, and bases are not included.

In addition, this set includes cavalry figures typical of conflicts with the British on the North-West Frontier from the 1830s to the 1920s. Depending on weapon choices, these miniatures could be used for scenarios ranging from the 1700s to the present day.
