American M8/M20 Greyhound Scout Car 1:56 WWII Plastic Model Kit

The M8 Greyhound, originally designed to replace the US Military's portee gun in an anti-tank role, was quickly repurposed once its lack of performance against German armor was realized. Serving the American and British armies throughout the war, this popular and successful armored car had a crew of four operating a 37mm gun, a Co-Axial . 30 cal, with some crews adding a . 50 cal on the roof for anti-aircraft and local defense. Capable of reaching speeds of 55mph on good roads, it earned the nickname "greyhound" for its speed, but was known to get bogged down in mud.

With enough armor to withstand small arms fire, these vehicles were best utilized in pairs to scout out enemy lines, supporting each other in a leap-frog fashion during advances or covering retreats. The M20 Scout car, replacing the armored turret for a fixed, open fighting compartment, was primarily used as a command vehicle, sacrificing the main gun in favor of extra radio capability and carrying a portable bazooka for additional anti-armor firepower.

Recreate World War II combat on a tabletop using dice, model troops, tanks, and rules from Bolt Action against one or more opponents. Each side must have painted model troops representing soldiers, guns, and tanks from their chosen armies. Encounters on the tabletop follow twelve specific battle scenarios detailing force deployment and victory conditions.

Players can test their skills against each other in a small-scale representation of one of history's greatest conflicts – World War II. Building, painting, and playing with the models can be just as enjoyable as the game itself!
