Opel Blitz/Maultier Truck 1:56 WWII Plastic Model Kit

The Opel Blitz was available in two different types: the S 2 wheel drive and the a or "allrad" 4 x 4 chassis. These variations allowed the vehicle to handle various conditions and served as a sturdy base for different conversions. These conversions included a radio truck with a metal and wood superstructure for housing radio equipment, a specialized fuel tanker known as the kft. 385 tank wagon, and various anti-aircraft weapon platforms produced by local workshops. These weapon platforms ranged from the standard 20mm & 37mm AA guns to the more powerful quad 20mm Flakvierling 38 AA gun.

The Opel maultier "Mule" Half-track was a famous adaptation introduced in 1941 during the harsh conditions of the Eastern front. This conversion utilized the track system of the Panzer I to provide the German Army with a versatile mover that could be used throughout the war. The Warlord Games plastic kit features detailed components and allows for the construction of either the standard Opel Blitz truck with a canopy up or down, or the maultier variant. The kit also includes data cards, vehicle damage markers, a full-color building guide, and water slide decals for customization.

Players can recreate World War II battles on tabletops using dice, model troops, tanks, and the rules of Bolt Action. Each side must have painted model troops representing soldiers, guns, and tanks. The game consists of twelve battle scenarios that determine force deployment and victory conditions.
